After impressively winning the Grand Prix qualifier at the Systaic Event, Fest der Dressur, at Gestüt Vorwerk in Cappeln/GER, Augustin OLD finished third with 71.54 percent behind the winner Isabell Werth/GER with Satchmo (75.54 percent) and second placed Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz/ESP on Fuego XII (74.41). The test went so well until the first piaffe.  Augustin was always with me and was great to ride. But then came a mishap - or I should say misunderstanding.  Instead of beginning the piaffe from the collected walk, he started to canter and I couldn't get a hold of him until we'd just about reached the track. Normally that's never a problem because Augustin's walk is very strong and sure and he's easy to collect before starting the piaffe. But somehow he must have misunderstood my aids or I didn't give the aids clearly enough... With such strong competitiors as we had in Cappeln, such an error is bitter because we are all very close to each other as far as our performance go. But that's how it goes sometimes ... and Augustin OLD did receive scores up to 9 for many of the other movements. 

Über 220 Menschen folgten unserem Aufruf zur Hilfe für die an Leukämie erkrankte Rosa und ließen während des systaic events Fest der Dressur auf unserem Hof Vorwerk in Cappeln/GER ihr Blut typisieren. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns, dass wir Rosas Vater Matthias "Matze" Janßen bei uns begrüßen konnten und ihm hoffentlich wieder etwas Hoffnung auf die Genesung seiner Tochter geben konnten. Er war überwältig von dem Ergebnis unserer Versteigerung von Hengstfreisprüngen, die sich inzwischen sogar auf 115.000 Euro beläuft, da ein Spender spontan noch einmal 15.000 Euro zum Versteigerungsergebnis hinzugab. Dafür noch einmal auch von dieser Stelle aus meinen aller herzlichsten Dank!!!!

Das Geld kommt der DKMS (Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei) zugute, damit möglichst viele Typisierungen vorgenommen werden können - eine kostet nämlich 50 Euro. Bedanken möchte ich mich auch bei all denjenigen, wie z.B. meiner Reiterkollegin Laura Bechtolsheimer/GBR, die fünf Milliliter ihres Blutes gaben, damit der "genetische Zwilling" von Rosa oder auch anderen Leukämiepatienten gefunden und ihr Leben gerettet werden kann. Dank sei auch all denjenigen gesagt, die mitgeholfen haben, dass schon der erste Tag der Typisierungsaktion in Cappeln ein voller Erfolg war. D A N K E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Three starts, one first and two third places. I think the results are very respectable, especially because the victory went to  Augustin OLD, whose Grand Prix ride was sensational: No errors and very self-assured. Obviously the judges saw it that way too and they gave our presentation 76.511 percent. Right behind us on second place was Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz/ESP on Fuego XII (73.57 percent) and Isabell Werth/GER with Satchmo (72.21) on third place.

In the Grand Prix Free-Style, Eichendorff took third place with 73.90 behind the winner from Great Britain, Laura Bechtolsheimer, with her WEG horse, Mistral Hojris (81.45) and Patrik Kittel/SWE with Florett As (74.80).

The decision in the St. Georges, a qualifier for the Burg Pokal Final, was very close. There were only 15 points difference between third placed Moliere and the winner Dancing Dynamite under Christoph Koschel/GER.

The Charity Auction for Rosa and others with leukemia at the Systaic Event, Fest der Dressur, in Cappeln raised the fabulous sum of 100,000 Euros. Star auctioneer Uwe Heckmann agreed to knock-down the free breedings donated by famous Oldenburg stallion stations - and tickled 20,000 Euros from the Schulz-Hausbrand couple, among others, for a breeding to the Derby winner Desperados stationed at Gestüt Sprehe. Paul Wendeln and his wife and Dr. Wilfried Bechtolsheimer invested 15,000 Euros for a breeding to Zack (Ludwig Kathmann stallion station) and Sir Donnerhall I (Schockemöhle Station) respectively. Gudula Vorwerk-Happ donated 6,000 Euros for a breeding to our stallion Rosandro and for Paul Sprehe, a breeding to De Niro (Böckmann Station) was worth 5,000 Euros. Last not least, Prof. Kurt J. Mrkwicka donated 1,500 Euros for a breeding to Rosengold at the Ahlers stallion station. Our family then rounded off the donations received to 100,000 Euros.

A strong start but then he gave away several points because of an error in the flying changes - that's the summary of  Eichendorff's presentation in the Grand Prix at the Systaic Event, Fest der Dressur. The trot tour was very expressive and his walk was absolutely sure, as always. But then ... I guess Edi and I just counted differently at the change line. 

Things were not optimal during preparation. Eichendorff ran a high fever after a necessary vacination and I was only able to really ride him again just three days before the test. And that was quite noticeable. With 66.46 precent we lined up behind the winner, Laura Bechtolsheimer/GBR on her parade horse Mistral Hojris (76.63 precent) and Patrick Kittel/SWE with Florett As (68.93). 

In the St. Georges at the Systaic Event, Fest der Dressur, at our Gestüt Vorwerk in Cappeln/GER, Moliere finished third with 70.84 percent. The test was won by our Burg Pokal finalist, Della Cavalleria OLD under Kira Wulferding/GER (73.05 percent).
